Hi Doug,
This is a little bit late response, but I hope you got the volume problem
sorted.
I just wanted to add that often there is a difference between:
1) Keeping the main volume low and setting velocity high
and
2) Turning the main volume right up and turning the velocity down.
In many more modern synthesisers, velocity can affect tonal quality of the
sound (e.g. higher velocity = louder + brighter) whereas the volume and
expression controllers are literally just volume controls.
As I understand it, the idea of the Volume controller (CC#7) is to set the
overall level of a track in the final mix. By contrast, Expression (CC#11)
is for varying the volume through the track. It means that you can
independently adjust the overall volume (with Volume) of the whole without
changing the general shape of any articulation effects (with Expression).
Hope these little tips help.
With best regards,
James.

Subject: QWS List Final problem (I think).
After creating a track, setting velocity and stuff, it played okay.
When I later reloaded the file, that track was way down in the background.
Resetting velocity to 127 did no good!
Unfortunately it's a lead track. How can I fix this, or will I have to
crank down the velocity of all other tracks in the project?
Thanks much in advance.
