What keyboard are you using for input?
What synth output are you using?
If you are using the Microsoft GS software synth, this is wellknown to be
latent and there is nothing you can do.
You should have no problems if you are using a USB MIDI interface between
your computer and MIDI keyboard - using the keyboard for both MIDI input and
playing.

I am having a bit of a problem using QWS. I am getting some latency
whenever I use either the on-screen keyboard or my midi keyboard
connected by USB. Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue,
