Hi,
Most synths only see drums on channnel 10. Even if you put your different drums on seperate tracks they'll still have to go on channel 10 for it to know they are drums. so if you pan one track, the whole channel receives it, so all the drums move.

My understanding is that it depends on the type of sounds that you are using.

For example, I've used XG sounds before where any channel can contain
drums. In this situation, I've recoreded a complete drum track and
then used things like the channel split tool to dump each sound into
it's own track - e.g. tom track, bass track and snare track. Once
you've done this, you should be able to pan each track differently.

I'm by know means an expert on this though - perhaps Andre will be
able to give you something a bit more concreet?

Hth.

Hello list,

I would like to create a track in stereo, and I can't pan 2 tracks
differently if they are the same channel.

Is there a way of making a different channel apart from 10 a drum track?

Thanks.
