Here is the inputs/outputs of how you can configure QWs to work with 
VSTHost.
Alt+D You should arrive at midi. Press enter. Inputs=midi Cable1. 
Output=Microsoft GSWavetable SW synthesis. You can get to the input and 
output tabs by using ctr+tab or ctr+shift+tab.
For QWS. Disable all midi in ports by going in to the options menu, then 
hit p for ports. Next, make sure you disable all midi in ports. The port 
you want to have active is the midi Cable1 for out devices. You should 
be set. How to get a track to work with the port. Select the track from 
the midi file and then press enter for track properties. Press tab till 
you get to port. Press down arrow till you come to Midi Cable1. You 
should hear things coming out of VSTHOst. You are no longer hearing 
other instruments.
