The problem with Windows Vistanand 7 is that Microsoft disabled the user changing the default midi device. I'm not sure if it works in QWS, i'd imagine it would since the devices are still in the registry, and QWS's settings are completely independent of the defaults you set in control panel. Regardless, the older synths that we use have very limited success with newer versions of Windows, as people have said. Maybe you can research and find a way to make it work, but the more out of date those synths get, the harder it's going to be to use them.

I too, feel the same way. I do not want to have another program to use good quality synthesizers. There ought to be a way to install multiple synthesizers in your system and have QWS detect them.
