Oh, I didn't know there was a problem with any tones with Asio in
Reaper. what I meant, is that I don't think Bassmidi supports Asio.

Yes, Reaper supports ASIO, although it seems to have an occasional
problem with mine, where I hear the 960hz tone in the background
sometimes.

Hi,
You are right, SFZ isn't very accessible in that regard. Replacing the
onj.sf2 is probably the only way. But for other things I just use
basmidi, but in something like Reaper, that might become difficult as I
don't think that supports Asio. And if it does, it'd be more trouble
than it's worth to set up.

I would like to use other, non-Onj soundfonts with QWS also, and my
VST host of choice, which at this time is Reaper. Of course, this has
no direct relation to QWS. SFZ and all the configuration that has been
made available to load the one specific soundfont from one specific
directory is cool, but it's not terribly accessible if you want to use
other things, move the soundfont to another drive or directory, or
load others. This is one of the reasons why I haven't really bothered,
though having those sounds available would be nice. Unfortunately, I
don't really know of another VST plugin that handles sf2 as well, and
that has a more accessible UI, not requiring the use of something like
HSC or hotspot for real access to the interface for those who can't
see it.
Also, I would advise against putting that soundfont on the QWS
website, because it contains entire soundfonts which may or may not
have the original author's permission to use the samples. This could
lead to some bad legal stuff that I'm pretty sure no one wants to deal
with.

Yes, I can put the Onj soundfont definition on the QWS website, but I
think this would be of limited use unless:
1. We also put the actual soundfont there ... Andre, your thoughts
please?
2. I made a request some time ago for someone to perhaps write some
words about how to use soundfonts with QWS. I'm happy to proof it and
make it into an article on the QWS site as well. Maybe someone who
has experience with the various methods and drivers can help with this
please?
Hope this helps and look forward to hearing from someone with an
article ...
With best regards,
James.

Hello,
Just a quick note to say I have uploaded some new instrument lists
to the
QWS website:
* Roland Juno Stage joins the list for Roland Juno-G
* Roland SRX refill patches added to the SRX collection
* Yamaha Motif XF joins the Motif instrument list collection
* * Yamaha PSR-E323 PSR-S500
Many thanks once again to all those who contributed these lists.
With best regards,
James.
