Get yourself an M-Audio MIDISport Uno. Best less-than-fifty-bucks you'll spend. It has the required in and out cables you connect to the corresponding jacks on the back of your MIDI piano. And yes, there's a device driver for it for Win7-64, but it's not the one that comes on the CD in the package. It can be obtained from the M-Audio site in the usual manner. Their site is very accessible.
If your piano uses USB as its MIDI port, there is doubtless a driver from Yamaha which you'll need to install, then a standard USB cable will provide the hardware connectivity. Now, about this external audio card ... I'm presuming you want that for playing softsynths, yes? I've had great luck and gotten good results from the M-Audio Fast Trak Pro line of audio plus MIDI boxes. Of course, the better your computer--that is, the faster, the more processors--the better results you'll get from your external audio card. Hope this helps.
