Yes, you can take your section and paste it on the end of a track to extend the track. If you're working in this way probably the best approach would be to write your patterns, then append them all into a single track, build complete tracks by copying things to the end of each other in song tracks, then delete the earlier tracks. So, for example, you could build your patterns, then create a track called Bass, and copy in proper sequence all of the bass tracks from the other patterns. Then you'd delete all save your composite track. Note that QWS will paste something at the end of a track, so if your last measure doesn't have a note sounding on the last beat of the final measure you may run into some timing problems. QWS will paste something wherever you put it, so if you arrow over to an empty part after the end of the track it'll paste whatever you have to such a location. Also remember that Alt+Shift+V will paste over the information in a track, if any, and holding down Insert and hitting Page Down will give you the exact beat of where you are. This should help somewhat, but if you insist on working in a pattern based method then know that it's going to be a bit more work than just working in simple tracks through a normal sequence. Finally, note that QWS has a bug in it that will change the project name, tempo, and other information to that of the last file accessed, so if you have information you want to use it's best if you make that the last one, and remember to Save As if you don't want to overwrite your last source file. But it's a different approach to making music. And I've already sent him a boatload of suggestions -- in fact I still haven't heard back from him on my last one, so I suspect I overwhelmed him.
