Yeah I figured that out.
Since this morning I dcided to forget about
bassmidi and switch to synth font for winamp.
While there are a few latency and other issues I
am ok and have a few good free gs and gm fonts
and some older ones which are good.
I still want to know where I can get good gm ggs
and xg fonts for roland keyboards like the mt32,
a good fm synth like used to exist on the sb16
cards and an xg synth like existed on my old yamaha sxg50 on xp.
I have a few good fonts thanks to synthfont
webpage itself and bassmidi has a good general synth font.

Well, your midi will be sound all wrong with
this fond, because it is not a gm based font.
There was a instrument list for this font but it
simply doesn't contain a full gm instruments.
For gm compatible font look for SGM2 soundfont.

Hi, how do I play bassmidi in winamp
I can select a or b port via vertual cursers on supernova but winamp
then says its not responding I am sure I need to fiddle with this a bit
more.
google searches say I need to edit the registry, but fuck that!
All I want to do is play midi files in something that is not the default
windows synth, when I tried onj's soundfont in winamp all my gm midis
soundd totally wrong.
