I advocate lots of library management *tools*, including facilities
provided by the implementation for doing this management. I just think
that we should do this outside of the standard. We should still do it,
mind you.
Actually, this is in some way what I am trying to do with Descot: make it
possible for tools of all kinds to work in a standard way when managing
library metadata. Slightly higher level, but the same idea.
