I run WEP 64 without issue.  Your troubles sound vaguely familiar - I
remember having trouble on initial startup of the Radio because this
radio wasn't behaving the same way as my Squeezebox V3 and my Boom.

When you go to mysqueezebox.com and look at your players does it appear
as connected?  If yes, have you tried disconnecting it there?   This may
be waste of time but that is what got me past my frustrating hurdle with
playing radio on my network, and since then it's been great.

As for the snarkydwarf's comments - I run WEP too - in my case I figure
if there is anybody insane enough to want to spend the effort hacking
into my network in the middle of nowhere they probably deserve it.  It
just ain't worth the time to go mess with 15 of my devices and get them
all converted over to WPA.
