I don't mean to pile on, but my Radio reception is about the same as OP. In the same room as the router (802.11g/WEP 128) it works fine. If I move it a few rooms over, it won't connect. In the same spot my wireless laptop has no problem. I am running the current firmware.
There's nothing remarkable in the "Diagnostics" screen except that the "Battery Temperature" reports over 2047'C! Can you tell me what values you are interested in?
