As a technology, WiFi is very dependent on signal strength, hence antenna placement can be a big factor. The antennas for the Boom and the Radio are embedded in their respective products.
The inexpensive and easy fix if it works - physically move, or re-orient, your Radio, wireless access point or wireless router while checking the diagnostics on the Radio. While it's certainly possible that there isn't enough signal between the rooms, often moving the pieces just a little a bit can resolve the problem.
