I really think this should be configurable (like laptops). I see it doing the same thing when I take it to the bathroom (I have plugs but the point in a battery is so I don't have to drag the power cord around).
What if I wanted to remotely start it? The hard power down to conserve battery makes sense but a user should be able to override.
