Great to hear it worked for you too, Florian.  :D  

Mine also had the little metal protrusion, I just bent it back and forth
a couple of times and it broke off cleanly.

One other point worth mentioning, is that the company (Eisgold) only
posts to within Germany, so I had to use a german mail forwarding
company to forward the parcel on to me (mailboxde.com), that added 4
euros to the cost of the item.  But still made it a good value fix for
me.
