The Scouts don't do training the same way....

They meet first for 2 hours for child protection training
and overview then break out into program specific training.

Those classes are availible on video and there is a overnight
campout for Boy Scoutmaster training.  A "deeper" training
is held 4 times a year called "woodbadge" that has become
a fantastic corp. training program for organizeing any group
to work togather for a goal.

In scout's you as a leader are never left alone to flounder.
You are "mentored" into your position, and at the end of your 
term you pass to the happy ranks of senior scouts<G> where
you can act as a group "Commishioner" assisting younger leaders
and groups to succeed but also allowing you your freedom.

Old scouts are never left to feel "out of the picture"..

Your Eagle rank is not just an award but a ticket to a
lifetime fellowship of scouting.
