PS God is not the author of confusion

Hey Rob,

Good point. We shouldn't forget that one.  Rangers needs leaders who are not just "READY" but willing and able also, here is an interesting analogy to go with it.

Think of a Commander like a computer (not saying he is one or should be one, this is just an analogy) You have a new Commander who is running on Windows 98.  The Windows 98 still works and is still useful, but as with all of the newer computers they are waiting for their upgrade to a higher operating system like XP.  That Commander can Still SERVE God using the old operating System (the RR system as it is now) and Upgrade to the new system once it is released. The new system is indeed redesigned and may have an all new look to it, but it is built off of the foundations that were laid for the old system.  The new system is built upon that which we already know, have tried and know that works.  I believe from what I have seen, is that the idea here was to enhance the end user's experience and make it better for him.
The last information I heard was that there was going to be some sort of upgrade like this to be compatible with the new system anyway, which ultimately doesn't seem like a bad idea. Every little bit helps.  I think that with a new person, waiting could be discouraging and cause him to loose interest.  I say plug him in, get him involved with what you are doing now and then send him to the new training once it is ready for publication. Training is NOT always book work you know, it is OJT too.  This way he can be familiar with the kids in the outpost and around the church and while he goes through the LTC he can be inspired to think of activities to plan to complete the course.

Just some thoughts from an old sidelined Cdr.

God Bless,

Iron Mike
