I don't know how many of you remember my prayer requests of about a year ago
regarding my teen Jessica (she was considered a problem child), but I thought
you might like an update.
She has been inviting her friends to come to church for youth group. Two
friends ride the bus home with her on Wednesdays so we can get them to church
(these 2 were saved their first night!), and last night she had five guests.
The uth pastor (Brian Herring [I praise God for his presence in my daughters
life]) after praise and worship (which rocks!) had everyone sit down..."see
this I have a sermon all typed up nice and neat and I'm not gonna use it
cause the Holy Sprit has somewhere else to go tonight with us.(and he threw
his sermon notes over his shoulder). He said the spirit says some one has
problems w/family no one knows about.
All of Jessie friends went down front! Empending divorce, father dying of
enphasema (sp?), and on went the list. Three of her friends were tough guys
they ended up on their kness in tears and praying and the girls also. Her
group spent the entire service in prayer, praise and worship. All of them
said they were coming back. one boy starts a new job today is said he is
going to explain to them that he will not be able to work Wednesdays!!!
'Sept 29 is "Crush Night" where they bring as many friends as they can. At
last calculation Jessie will need to request a pick up by the Church bus as
not even Grandma's van and dad's truck will hold everyone that these kids
have invited so far.
Can anyone say praise the Lord?!?!?!
