Hello, all,

  The rest of this thread was a good learning experience, but for the
record (in case anybody else gets a Dell Mini 10), there's a simple BIOS
setting that lets you exchange the "multimedia" keys and the normal
function keys.  It was pretty stupid of me not to check first...
