I have the idea as it is almost as good as AHD, but much faster. I found, in some images, small color artefacts around very bright image reagions. You can reproduce these in ufraw (obvious, as it is the same code). In ufraw there is the option 'apply color smoothing' which make these artefacts disappear. Do you plan to add this option, too?
