Thanks Tony - not sure what happens as I don't see any messages - just the 
screen waiting for the Available Tables which remains blank.

I will try the LOAD option as well as what Bruce has suggested.

The Excel file I am loading has 71 columns and about 49,000 rows. (It 
starts off with 71 worksheets but I have written a program to consolidate 
them all into one worksheet - a bit of Delphi code required to achieve 
that.)  A lot of data to manage, so I split the spreadsheet by columns (one 
with columns 1-40 and the other the remaining columns) but it still needs 
splitting by rows to import from an XLSX file so I will try the other 
options.)
