As long as the file server serves up the files when requested, R:Base shouldn't care whether it's Windows 1842, Windows 2008, or even a Linux SAMBA box. If they actually run R:Base on the server itself (bad practice to run user applications on the server, but sometimes you may have a maintenance function that runs there), you need to check out and see whether it runs -- but I'd be flabbergasted if something that run on 2003 doesn't run on 2008 (that's not definitive, of course — I'm flabbergasted a lot). -- Larry
