DbMemo>Object Properties>Effects (tab)>Maximum Length

When you set the Maximum Length to whatever value you choose, the typing stops at that length.

Sharon,
If you make the input field a monospaced font such as courier or one of Microsoft's other monospaced fonts and then size the field to accept the exact number of characters base on column size then when the user types on the maximum allow characters they will be forced to the next input field.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - DB Memo and TEXT field.

Happy New Year to All,

Am I missing something simple here?

I have a TEXT column of a designated size.

The column in placed on a form as a DB Memo because I need the ability to
wrap the text.

Problem is that on the form I can type indefinitely.far past the designated
number of characters.

Of course, the number of characters that get saved is only the designated
size of the text column.

Is there as way for the cursor to STOP when I get to that size limit?

Thanks so much for any suggestions.

Sharon
