We have done something similar using memory sticks. 4 and 8 gig USB
sticks are readily available for around $20. 16 gig are about $30. Get
one for everyday in the week and simply download first thing in the
morning. Also have tape backup of the network, but USB is quick.

Hi Dan,

Looking for inexpensive backup -- ever hear of COPY?

You can set up an auto backup of your server to your individual PC's.

Backup up to a different PC each day of the week. This way you will
have the latest 5 copies.

Another inexpensive method is to purchase an external dirve (some of my
customers bought it at Costco) to be connected to some PC via usb. Set
up five folders on that drive called Mon, Tues, etc.

Of course I don't know how large your database is so you have to figure
out the best method.

Good luck,

Bernie Lis

I am looking for a good backup software to run on a server.

I know there is some like Symantec(VERITAS) backup but they are
expensive.

        TIA
