My experience with iphone that the screen is too small to work with a server/desktop in a normal way. maybe with the new iPhone 4 with hiRes it is better. Not only do they have an app for that for the iPad and iPhone, you can also use it from any computer anywhere through Internet Explorer, Firefax, Safari, etc to remotely access your machine..
