Patti, on the settings page, check to see if the transparent option is checked. 
If it is, uncheck it and then retry your form.

Hi Albert,

I just checked.  The "Use Theme" box is unchecked on the two forms I looked at 
just now.  It is also unchecked in my default settings.  Thank you though.

Patti - I suspect you have a theme applied to your forms. The theme will 
override any colours you apply.
