What kind of network are you using? With my W2k machine on Novell using the Novell client, I noticed that the machine would not disconnect from the database until 30 seconds after I exited out of R:base. I found a setting under the Novell network client having to do with file caching causing the problem. Maybee you are having a simelar problem where the workstation is trying to hold the sy5 file open and the user is logging out of the network causing some problems???
