Bernie   Just curious: have you installed R:Base for DOS 6.5++ on the same system and tried it?  Does the same problem occur?  If yes, then there is something in common off here; if no, an immediate good reason to upgrade.   I'd suggest if all else fails that you contact Frank Conroy, a client of mine, who is successfully running R:Base for DOS - now 6.5++ AND I believe still 6.1A but I'm not sure - on a WIndows 2000 set of machines.  You can reach him by email at [EMAIL PROTECTED].  Find out how he has things configured in W2K and might be able to help you.   David Blocker   ----- Original Message ----- From: Bernard Lis To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, January 31, 2002 9:40 PM Subject: Re: 6.1a dos on a w2k client Attrib shows "A" both before and after I get the "Invalid Server6.rbg file for this database" There is no other server6.rbg file on the server or on the client.
