| What I've done in the past was to highlight the area I want save

I agree with Buddy in recommending this technique. Additional comments:
- Very important to highlight the rows and columns containing data,
including the column names.
- After you choose "save as db4" you still must close the worksheet. Do not
save changes.
- You can modify any of the column names when you do the ATTACH (if R:BASE
complains that they already exist)
- Once the ATTACH is done, you can insert into a regular R:BASE table. No
ASCII file needed.

| 1. Highlight all columns and rows (without header information)
| 2. Save As CSV file
|
| Then,
| Using The Glorious R:BASE 2000 (ver 6.5++) for Windows:
| LOAD Tablename FROM CSVFileName.CSV AS CSV<
| <<
|
|
| Excell 97 offers 2 CVS formats in the 'Files/Save under FileName' menu :
|
| - CVS (delimiter = semi colon),
| - CVS (OS2 or DOS)
|
| Both outputs fields separated by a semi colon and without quotes arround
| each field ....
| I can't use those formats because some of my fields may contents already
| some semi colons.
