<< Thanks for the kind words, Damon, about our scanning project (Frank Conroy is the other developer). >> Karen, The kind words were WELL deserved! That was a tremendous job, and worked very effectively. That's the kind of project that will make any NUMBER of people sit up and take notice. And now that you refreshed me with Frank's name, my face isn't QUITE as red <g> As to 7.0, I'll develop in 6.5++ until 7.0 comes out. With the code examples I saw, and the look and feel, I'd bet that a LOT of the code will run almost as is. And with the changes I saw to RBEdit (with the built in code prompts. RBCode I believe it is), my guess a port would be REAL simple. At least that's what I'm planning on. As always, IMHO <g>. But I can't wait. Excellent recap of the converence, Sami. I believe you most CERTAINLY understated your contribution to the conference, but I've come to expect understatements from the RBase developers community. I keep hearing 'Oh, it's only a little application I knocked out for a customer, or my use, there is nothing to it. Or it wasn't much, anyone could do it. And then my feet get cold because my shoes and socks are flying across the room!!!!!!!!!!!! As far as the entertainment goes, wouldn't it be nice if Tommy and the Sworbugs DID that old Beach Boys song at the next conference. Shirts from this conference would work for that one as well. But, wouldn't it be nice if we had new costumes next year too <g> Damon Damon D. Kaufman President Stalder Spring Works, Inc ISO-9002 / QS-9000 Certified 2345 S.
