Stephen: RBTI is working on a time schedule for release. The feeling I get is that it most likely sometime towards fall when we'll actually see the final product. There'll be the extenseive beta cycle etc. They want to make sure it's as good as possible and also try to include as many features as is reasonable before "going gold".
Developers are doing some of the most amazing things with R:Base 6.5++. When version 7 comes along look out. As Razzak (paraphrased) said, "Come and get on the wagon with us or you're going to be left behind." I was really, really excited about all of the new things that they're doing with 7 point OOOOHHHHH!!!! Just when you think things can't get any better . . . they do. Thanks p.s. I'm not the first and I'm sure I won't be the last to say that the conference was totally excellent. Razzak and the Dream Team are first class all they way. I must assume that this is on everybody's mind. As f/me, I'm willin' to be patient, vis-a-vis the removal of bugs, the existence of good documentation, etc. Nevertheless, the appearance of v7 is such that I am considering limiting certain implementation aspects of some current projects as I think (and hope) that v7 will make those pieces (mostly User I/F stuff) easier.
