I keep the Invoice for My first PC a TI Pro 512K that was
SortOf(IbmCompatible). The Total Price was 7604.10 dated 11/15/83. The
10mb Hardrive was 2500 of the total. Dos 1.0 (no subdirectory structure)
About 1400 of the total was software. I bought the TI over the IBM because
of the graphics. TI had about twice the resolution of the IBM which was
basically the difference from keeping it 100% Compatible. If the Software
wrote to the Graphics directly, it would bomb. I stayed with the TI up
through the 80286 7mhz machine which had a dual boot Ibm/TI mode choice.
The Ram Drawer for this box with 1.5MB ram was $2500.... In 86 we bought a
PC Limited 386/16 (just before they changed the name to Dell) with 4mb ram
and a 150mb ESDI (anybody remember ESDI?) Hardrive...I ran my wire harness
manufacturing business on it in (mrp) software that we developed on 2.11
RBase. The OS was PCMOS (again, any takers?). PCMOS carved extended memory
into partitions of Virtual Dos Machines, accessed serially Via Wyse 60s....

I kept the 10mb hardrive from the first pc for show and tell..
