G'day Ben,

When that happens try going slower.
I can pretty reliably get R:BASE to crash by pressing a
key when processing is incomplete (like being several
screens deep in an app then pressing [Esc] consecutively)
or clicking a button as soon as a form containing clickable
images has apparently finished drawing.

Bit of a downer telling users that the Windows and R:BASE
combination can't handle their speed level but I believe I
was told it was something reported to RBTI and they advised
it was fixed.
