Alright I tried that. I tried it with a sample file (3 lines) and it imported without any major problems. Yet, when I take the real file (801116 lines) it pauses for a while, then gives me the error: "Could not open the input file."
What's more is that I've tried the same gateway command on the DOS version of R:Base and it just opens up GATEWAY -- it doesn't process the file.

David - You can use the GATEWAY command in an automated program - does this syntax work for you?GATEWAY IMPORT TAB filename APPEND/REPLACE etc. See the Syntax reference for the full scope. This should work as easily as the LOAD statement does.
