I've a programme that converts a SQL server \ Sybase type file created by BCP.EXE with default parameters TAB seperator + EOL character to a R:Base load format. If you want private E-mail me.
This is what it does:
Converts SQL server BCP TAB delimited file. to R:Base LOAD AS ASCII file. <br> in text is converted to ^
'Quotes are single quote and seperator a comma. Quotes in text columns are sorted, i.e an extra one is added.

There is no user interface, just a progress bar and interaction on parameter errors. It takes 2 parameters in and out.

Is there a way to import a TAB-delimited file into R:BASE that I can make automated (ie: not using the GATEWAY command). I can't seem to do it with the LOAD command.
