Patagonia sells what is essentially a long brimed baseball cap with
detachable neck flaps.  I used it without incident on several tours
last Summer and Fall.  For the most part I was not riding all that
fast, but there were some down hills.  The hat did just fine.  Be
warned you either have to be comfortable with extreme hat hair or
ready to wear the hat from start of ride until you hit the shower.
