Anyone else interested in starting a sort of tire lending library for the list? There are quite a few tires I've been curious to try (or to even see if they'll fit) but the cost has prevented me from taking the risk.
I'm imagining a tire lending library would: - Start by letting all list members vote for the tires they'd want to see in the library - Allow list members to join the library by purchasing or donating a set of the tires on the 'most wanted' list. There may need to be some sort of additional donation or buy-in given the range in tire prices. - Let a library member 'check out' a tire by paying its current holder the price of shipping them. A library member could use the tires for a reasonable amount of time (a week?) or until the tires are requested by another member. - Keep track of who's got what on a private Google doc or a simple web app. Maybe also let people share their reviews of a tire they've checked out. If there is enough interest I'd be happy to organize and possibly build a simple web app to power it if Google docs isn't sufficient. Thoughts?
