The shop owner said I could have it for a "birthday price", same price as 
your birth year. So if you were born in 1954, then you will pay $1954.

He said I could bring the oldest person with me that I could find and he'd 
give it to me for their birthday price.

So if he's charging more than your birthyear, ask for the birthday price.
