According to a representative last fall, the new baggage cars providing 
roll on service will be in place this year.  The cars have been purchased. 
 I brought this up with the ticketing agents at Union Station in Washinton 
( the headquarters for Amtrak), they thought it was humorous.  No, they 
laughed out loud.
