I mostly just use a transverse saddlebag. I have three bikes and four
saddlebags so swapping around is easy.
Saddlebags keep everything simple and require me to think about how much I
really need to take on my bike.
Most of the time a Nelson LF lives on my city bike.

I like the look and usefulness of baskets but in my climate I'd need to put
things in a waterproof bag first and then put the bag in the basket. So I
may as well just hang a bag on my bike.

Happy riding!
