Thanks to all for your well-wishes! @Johnny: I've had the same thought. I'm pretty certain that the homeless man who had the bike was not the person that stole it out of my garage six months ago, but he may have been protecting the one who did.
Still, I think I will stop by Hornung's to see if they might have sold the bike at some point.
