Good to hear that from a local. Even a fence would not dump a stolen bike for
$30! I have always favored independent store owners -- like bike shops -- and
such a shop is a value to the community. Still, it bears looking into.

For what it's worth, I know that hardware store and know some of the Hornungs
as well. I do not 100% buy that person's story and doubt that they had that
bike there for $30. I could be wrong but I think that was just a story for the
cops.
