On a recent trail ride with my Redwood, I decided to stand and pedal rather
than downshift. This had the most unfortunate consequence of the crank
bolt shearing inside the bottom bracket. It also resulted in a nearly 6
mile walk back to the house.

My question is: can the rest of the bolt be extracted and the bottom
bracket re-used? Or should I just forget it and get a new bottom bracket.
It's not an expensive BB, Shimano UN-54 or similar.

Keep the metal side up and the rubber side down!
