I think the Woodys work very well. Because they don't have a lip, they're not going to be as effective as SKS or metal fenders in really wet conditions, but they'll keep the stripe off your back and your bike clean in normal conditions They are really flexible and easy to move back if you change gears on the QB. I usually keep a British Dumbbell with me if I want to move the fenders back from the stays. I took them off because I need to decide on a front rack (mini vs. M12) before I drill the front fender, and I need to work on my seat-stay attachment point on the Woodys too. If the wood fenders are not secured at all points, they will bounce around and when they hit the bike, sound like wooden diving boards - -booooing. I have SKS 45s on the bike right now to try them out... but they are harder to adjust conpared with the Woodies. They *will* keep you dry. I would LOVE to put Honjos or Berthouds on this bike... But I just can't get my head around how I'd remove the wheel or change gears. Esteban San Diego, Calif.
