Excellent! There is a wondrous beauty to simplicity, and your Sam will be 
an excellent teacher! You can take it on 80% of what I take my Hunqapillar 
on (based on I can take my Quickbeam on 70%). What would I avoid? Loaded 
touring on technical single track.

My QB came with JB (not sure which color). They are great tires but not the 
plush, smooth ride of the Compass. If you find yourself wishing the ride 
was smoother, simple may mean Compass. Grin.
