Thanks for all of the thoughtful feedback everyone. Tonight I raised the 
bars on my current set up to see if that makes a difference. I came up a 
full 2 cm's while still remaining below the min insertion line. I am going 
to try to ride the bike this way for a while to see If that makes a 
difference with my neck pain. If that doesn't work I think the Albastache 
would be my first choice.  I think it might be a good compromise between 
drop bars and upright. I also think these bars would look awesome on my 
Sam! I also think this would be an easier transition with my current 
cockpit set up. I could keep the current stem and road brake levers that I 
already have.  If I switch to the Albatross I would want a new stem,  new 
MTB style brake levers and possibly extra long cables for my tall sized 
bike. A little more money then I want to spend on this experiment that I am 
currently obsessing about.
