I just 1x10'd my rosco mtn mixte with a fairly giant sunrace cassette and an ird mjolnir 38t crank. It doesn't have a ton of high gear power, but the low end is great and i dont need to go fast anyway. i didn't think losing a ring and a front derailler would feel that different, but the bike feels much simpler in a nice way.
