It’s a fair point to be sure, but is separate from the question I asked. To put a somewhat finer point on it, my comment did not relate to weight in any way. I referenced the impact of forcing thicker tubes than might otherwise be spec’d in order to accommodate certain brakes that could alter the way the bike rides. Weight is not a factor in that point.
