Actually, my Element is a blast to drive. The manual transmission and AWD combination has lower (higher numerically) final drive ratios than other Elements, so acceleration is surprisingly brisk. The 4 cylinder is out of an Accord an can be revved with no ill effects. The suspension is firm, so it handles well, especially considering the height. And of course, driving a manual is always more fun than an automatic. I think it was Colin Chapman who said that it is more fun to drive a slow car fast, than drive a fast car slow.
