Paul, If the primary purpose is cargo, I would vote with Jeff/sameness for a small work van as used by many businesses. There are quite a few on the market now and at fairly reasonable prices. I think the starting price of even a Mercedez-Benz Metris is only about $26k. With solid sides in the back, the bike can be not only inside and locked, but invisible also with some hanging dividers.
